Greetings From Your Principal

January 2019

Dear Wildcat Families,

Happy New Year!! It is always exciting and a joy to see all the children, teachers, and staff back at school after the long break. We are enjoying a seamless transition back to school after the winter holidays. Everyone seems generally refreshed and focused after the time off.

It is hard to believe that we are starting second semester. As I reflect on these past 5 months, I can’t help but feel extremely blessed and proud to be the principal of Mayer Elementary. I’m proud of our staff for their dedication and endless commitment to teaching and learning. I’m appreciative for the tremendous support of our parent community, and/or assisting with our special events and projects. Thank you to the PTO for sponsoring so many events and helping with the academic needs of our students and staff.

As I look ahead to the second half of our school year, I’m confident that with our continued support, and the tremendous dedication of our staff, Mayer students will continue to excel, grow and learn. One of the ways you can support our school is through your tax credit donations. A tax credit donation is a dollar-for-dollar reduction in the actual tax owed. Further-more, your generous contribution provides support for fun, meaningful and life-enhancing activities such as our  PAW Drawings weekly for showing the three R’s (Respect, Responsible & Rule Abiding), Principal’s Luncheon, co-curricular activities such as field trips, and assemblies. Many of these programs would not be available without your tax credit donations.

On behalf of our Wildcat staff, we wish you and your family all the best for the upcoming New Year.

Mrs. Leonard
